  • Serves as a life coach/academic advisor for assigned freshman
  • Utilizes student success and coaching best practices to mentor assigned freshmen
  • Works with high-risk student populations and provides specialized services as needed
  • Assists freshmen with registration throughout the academic year
  • Provides accountability coaching for academic probation population
  • Works with faculty to ensure awareness of any adjustments in the curriculum that may affect course selection for new and transfer students
  • Coordinates with the director of Accessibility Services and refers students to other on- and off-campus resources as needed to ensure students thrive in academics
  • Teach life coaching services to upperclassmen as assigned
  • Teach college seminar courses as assigned
Required Experience
  • Must be currently authorized to work lawfully in the United States
  • Master's degree preferred, bachelor's degree required
  • 3 years of experience in teaching college-level courses and/or adults preferred
  • Holds or is able/willing to obtain life coach certification
  • Demonstrates a passion for helping students succeed
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations
  • Ability to effectively initiate, implement, coordinate, and assess programs and activities
