Description

Riverview Christian Academy (RCA) serving Reno, NV and the surrounding area is seeking an upper grade teacher for grades 7-8 for the 2026-2027 school year. The mission of RCA is to show children Jesus, nurture their love for others, teach them to think, and empower them to serve. The school shares a campus with the Riverview Seventh-day Adventist Church where the students lead praise music once a month. The students participate in outdoor activities including ski days and an annual school picnic at the lake. Teachers are given four personal days each year and with an average of 252 days of sunshine per year, Reno is the perfect place to experience God’s creation. Residents enjoy hiking, biking, backpacking, kayaking, rock climbing, four wheeling, and many other activities.

Required Experience

We are seeking candidates committed to the ministry of Adventist Education and our mission of growing loving followers of Jesus. 

Qualified candidates will…

  • be active members in good standing of the Seventh-day Adventist Church
  • have a minimum of a bachelor's degree 
  • hold or be able to obtain a NAD teaching credential 
  • have teaching experience, preferably in a multi-grade setting 
  • pass a background check 
  • currently have the legal right to work in the United States 

The school has shown continual growth and having Jr. Academy endorsements may be benefit as the school looks toward expanding in the future.
