Description
  • Direct all financial operations, including budgeting, reporting, forecasting, cash flow, and investment management.
  • Identify and lead growth initiatives that improve ROI, increase student enrollment/FTE, and enhance student and employee engagement.
  • Prepare and present financial reports to the Executive Council, Board of Directors and its Finance Sub-Committee; coordinate Sub-Committee agendas, meetings, and follow-up.
  • Develop pricing strategies for tuition, fees, rentals, and other revenue sources to ensure competitiveness and fiscal health.
  • Oversee capital requests, long-term replacement schedules, and campus master planning for facilities.
  • Provide training and guidance to leaders on budget development and financial management.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and accreditation standards; maintain robust internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure reporting accuracy.
  • Manage financial and operational aspects of grants from proposal through compliance reporting.
  • Oversee institutional support operations, including facilities, security, environmental services, risk management, and shared system services.
  • Lead contract negotiation and vendor management for college facilities; maintain a central contract repository and proactively track renewals and obligations.
  • Collaborate with HR leadership on workforce planning, policy development, and employee relations.
  • Drive operational efficiency, benchmark performance, and ensure administrative decisions reflect the college's faith-based mission.
  • Chair the Safety and Emergency Preparedness Committee, ensuring alignment with Kettering Health standards.
  • Contribute financial and operational expertise to strategic planning and institutional priorities.
  • Lead evaluation and implementation of technology solutions to improve efficiency across finance and administration.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Required Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or other business-related degree required. Master's degree preferred.
  • 3 to 5 years' experience in a related field preferred. Prior supervisory experience preferred. Candidates with prior experience in higher education finance, student financial aid, and/or grants management preferred.
  • CPA preferred.
  • Skilled in gathering/evaluating data for use in planning, monitoring, and providing recommendations for improvement. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Able to communicate financial data clearly and effectively to expert colleagues, college personnel, board members, and others in non-financial fields. Highly proficient with Microsoft office and financial software applications.
