Walla Walla University’s Department of Physics seeks applicants for a full-time faculty position beginning July 1, 2026. Teaching responsibilities include the introductory algebra-based physics class and relevant upper division courses. In addition to teaching responsibilities it is expected the candidate would participate in academic advisement of students.

Required Experience
  • Applicants should hold a doctorate degree in physics or closely related field. 
  • Dedication to a collaborative faculty approach and passion about promoting quality teaching, mentoring, and practical applications within a Christian context. 
  • Candidates should have a demonstrated ability to contribute in two or more of the following areas:
    • Ability to teach at all levels within the physics curriculum.
    • Expertise in an advanced topic in physics to develop new laboratory activities.
    • Interest in establishing an on-campus research program optionally involving undergraduate students.
