Description

Gateway Christian School is a pre-kindergarten through ninth-grade school located in Mt. Dora, Florida. Six classroom teachers and additional support personnel provide instruction to an enrollment of nearly 70 students. The school is in an up-and-coming rural area of Lake County, only 30-40 minutes outside the metro Orlando area and Forest Lake Academy. In addition, they are within seven miles of AdventHealth Waterman (Hospital). Gateway Christian School's Mission is "Educating for Today, Tomorrow, and Eternity." Candidates should complement the dedicated, mission-minded colleagues already in place. 

GCS has an immediate opening for a dedicated, caring, dynamic, and Christ-filled teaching principal. Responsibilities would include teaching grades 3-4 with a part-time assistant who would give the principal up to 12 hours of release time per week to allow them to handle administrative duties. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional leadership skills, a collaborative spirit, and a passion for children and educational excellence. Required Experience

Applicant must be a tithe-paying Seventh-day Adventist church member in good standing and have the legal right to work in the United States, providing evidence if employed. A minimum of a bachelor's degree (master's preferred) with North American Division (Denominational) Teacher Certification is required and must be maintained (or must agree to work towards obtaining NAD Certification). A minimum of five years of successful classroom and administrative experience is preferred. Must be a team player; have a service-oriented attitude; and be an effective communicator, possessing excellent verbal and written communication skills.
