The full-time patrol officer is scheduled to work 40 hours a week performing patrol officer duties and special assignments from the Campus Safety Department. Patrol officers are licensed by the State of Tennessee as unarmed proprietary security officers and must pass a criminal background check. Degree in related field preferred but not required. Any/All previously earned certificates and documentation to be submitted with application. Must be able to maintain physical training, first aid, and TN security license certification yearly. Must pass criminal background check. Must have computer skills including familiarity with MS Office. Be a self-starter and be able to work without direct supervision. Must possess good organizational skills. Must have leadership qualities and a willingness to learn new systems and procedures. Must be a team player, loyal to the university and Campus Safety.
