Burleson Adventist School (BAS) is a Pre-K through 8th-grade school offering a nurturing academic environment in a peaceful country setting. Located in the southwest corner of the greater DFW metroplex, BAS is supported by Burleson Seventh-day Adventist Church and serves the educational, spiritual, and athletic needs of the greater Burleson community. 

Job Summary:

BAS is seeking a full-time, dedicated, energetic, spiritually committed, and Christ-centered 5th- 6th grade teacher to join our team for the second half of the 2025-2026 school year. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Adventist education, a passion for teaching, and a commitment to student success. They should be passionate about middle school education and be able to help further our mission to educate children for eternity through love, faith, and service to God and humanity

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging, Christ-centered instruction aligned with the Adventist curriculum 

• Foster a positive, nurturing, and spiritually enriching classroom environment 

• Integrate faith and learning while promoting academic excellence 

• Assess student progress and adjust instruction to meet diverse learning needs 

• Collaborate with school staff, parents, and the church community to support student development 

• Maintain accurate records, reports, and communication with parents and administration 

• Participate in school activities, professional development, and staff meetings 

• Uphold school policies, safety standards, and Adventist educational principles 

Qualifications:

• Authorized to work in the United States 

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in elementary education from an accredited institution 

• Denominational teaching certification (or willingness to obtain) 

• Active membership in the Seventh-day Adventist Church 

• Strong commitment to integrating faith and learning 

• Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills 

• Ability to inspire and engage students in a Christ-centered environment
