- Perform general maintenance tasks including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and HVAC repairs
- Conduct regular inspections of campus buildings and grounds to identify maintenance needs and safety hazards
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and work orders, prioritizing tasks effectively
- Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment, ensuring tools are in good working condition
- Assist with setup and teardown for campus events including furniture arrangement and equipment setup
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, work orders, and inventory
- Follow safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for all employees and campus visitors
- Supervise student employees and deal with daily customer problems or situations
- Institute a safe, clean, and orderly work place in shop areas
- Assist in campus snow removal
- Serve on campus committees as requested by the Director
- Weekend work will be required occasionally and must be able to respond to after-hours emergencies
