High School Spanish Teacher

Description
  • Be a practicing Seventh-day Adventist in regular standing who loves children and models Christianity by upholding the faith and values of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
  • Be a skilled teacher who possesses great classroom management and able to use current and emerging technologies in learning and communicating with students.
  • Demonstrate drive and energy together with the ability to work in an ever-changing environment.
  • Be willing to perform homeroom, lunch and extra curricula activities and any other duties assigned by the Principal as well as play an active role in BI's faculty worships and meetings.
  • Possess strong interpersonal, organisational and communication skills (verbal & written).
  • Be able to foster faith development in students at Bermuda Institute.

  • A copy of an IEP
  • A copy of current Bermuda Educator's Council License
  • A copy of a current denominational certification
  • A current SCARS Certificate
  • A certified police background check from each jurisdiction/country lived in the immediate past 10 years
  • Three references with email addresses, including one from your current supervisor and current pastor
Required Experience

Applicant requirements:

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Spanish together with a teaching certificate (graduate degree is a plus).
  • Must have at least three (3) years of successful experience teaching Spanish in the high school grades.
  • Must be proficient in employing various foreign language teaching techniques, methods, and principles and in using assistive technology to personalise learning, improve comprehension and ensure an interactive and customised learning environment.
