Description
Applicants must:
- Be practicing Seventh-day Adventists in regular standing who love children and model Christianity by upholding the faith and values of the Seventh-day Adventist Church
- Be skilled teachers who possess great classroom management and able to use current and emerging technologies in learning and communicating with students
- Demonstrate drive and energy together with the ability to work in an ever-changing environment and build strong parental relationships
- Be willing to perform homeroom, lunch and extra curricula activities and any other duties assigned by the Principal as well as play an active role in our faculty worships and meetings
- Possess strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills (verbal & written)
- Be able to foster faith development in students at Bermuda Institute
Required uploads:
- An up-to-date résumé along with certified copies of relevant qualifications
- A copy of a daily lesson plan
- A copy of current Bermuda Educator's Council License (if secured)
- A copy of a current denominational certification (if secured)
- A current SCARS Certificate
- A certified police background check from each jurisdiction/country lived in the immediate past 10 years
- Three references with email addresses, including one from your current supervisor and current pastor
Required Experience
Applicant requirements:
- A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in mathematics with a minor in education together with a teaching certificate (graduate degree is a plus).
- Must have at least three (3) years of successful experience teaching mathematics in the high school grades.
- Must demonstrate proficiency in the teaching of Algebra I & II, Geometry, Pre-Calculus/Statistics, Calculus/AP classes for the high school grades as well as helping our students achieve mastery as they prepare for the ACT and SAT exams and Dual Enrolment.
