Indigo Christian Jr. Academy is a kindergarten through eighth grade elementary school located in beautiful Daytona Beach on the east coast of Florida. Four classroom teachers provide instruction to an enrollment of over 70 students. The school is growing rapidly and planning for expansion. It is located on 10 beautiful acres with the Daytona Beach SDA church, which is a very supportive church family. The local AdventHealth Hospital is also very supportive of the school program. CJA is seeking a dedicated, caring, dynamic fifth- and sixth-grades classroom teacher to begin immediately. The ideal candidate will possess a collaborative spirit and a passion for children and educational excellence. Applicants for this position must model Christ-like behavior and attitudes which will positively impact students in leading them to Christ. She/He must be able to deliver instruction to students using a variety of teaching methods and activities. Required Experience

Applicant must be a tithe-paying Seventh-day Adventist church member in good standing and have the legal right to work in the United States, providing evidence if employed. A minimum of a bachelor's degree with North American Division (Denominational) Teacher Certification is required and must be maintained (or must agree to work towards obtaining NAD Certification). Three years of successful classroom experience is preferred. Must be a team player; have a service-oriented attitude; and be an effective communicator, possessing excellent verbal and written communication skills. The selected applicant must have the ability to positively engage and work collaboratively with a diverse group of stakeholders, including students and families of diverse backgrounds regardless of language, ethnicity, race, or socioeconomic status. Possessing competent technology skills using current educational software and hardware is essential. Additional traits should include strong leadership and organizational skills, attention to detail, self-directed, and motivated. Absolute confidentiality is required.
