Are you eager to share your love of Jesus while making a meaningful impact in a close-knit school community? Sutherlin Adventist Christian School invites a dedicated and mission-minded educator to consider serving as a Grades 1–8 Teaching Principal for the 2026–27 school year and beyond.
Located in the scenic Umpqua River Valley just minutes from Interstate 5, the school offers an exceptional learning environment with large, bright classrooms in one of the newest school facilities in the Oregon Conference, a gymnasium, and generous outdoor space for play and exploration. The community of Sutherlin, Oregon, less than twelve miles north of Roseburg, provides small-town living with convenient access to hiking, waterfalls, mountains, and the Oregon coast.
This position is well suited for a relational, organized, and creative Grades 1–8 educator who truly loves Jesus and feels called to both teach and lead during a season of reopening and renewal. Working closely with a committed school board and active church members, the teaching principal will play a collaborative role in student recruitment and school marketing efforts, helping to rebuild enrollment and reestablish the school’s presence in the community while nurturing strong relationships with families and students.
To be considered for this position, candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and current NAD Elementary certification, or be willing to work toward certification. The ideal applicant will have multigrade teaching experience and familiarity with, or training in, standards-based learning. Candidates must be active members of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, have the legal right to work and reside in the United States, and be aligned with the mission of Adventist Christian education. Salary and benefits are based on the denominational wage scale and policy.
