Skagit Adventist Academy (SAA) is seeking a principal for the academic year 2026-2027 and beyond.
SAA is a Kindergarten through 12th grade school located in Burlington, Washington. For years, it has been a committed provider of Adventist Education within the Washington Conference. Burlington is 65 miles north of Seattle and 60 miles south of the Canadian border. It is known as the “Gateway to the Pacific Northwest” with sitting between the Cascade Mountains and Puget Sound.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in the following areas:
Spiritual leader for the school community and exemplifies a Jesus-led leadership style
Exceptional communication skills, fostering a positive school climate
Supporting the administrative team, faculty, and staff by fostering cohesion within the academic community
Promoting excellence across academic and extracurricular domains
Required qualifications include candidates being committed baptized members of the Seventh-day Adventist church, with a preference for a Master’s Degree in Administration (though not mandatory). A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Education, accompanied by a proven leadership track record, is required. Candidates must possess a US work permit. The salary range adheres to the Standard NPUC Salary Scale, ranging from $60,000 to $75,000, with an additional cost-of-living allowance provided due to the high cost of living in the area.
