Miami Union Adventist Academy (MUAA) is seeking a passionate, creative, and faith-centered High School English Teacher to join our growing academic community. This is more than a teaching position—it is a calling to shape thinkers, communicators, and leaders in a Christ-centered learning environment.

The ideal candidate will teach high school English courses, serve as a class sponsor, provide academic support through tutoring as needed, and actively participate in extracurricular programs. Faculty at MUAA are fully engaged in the life of the school—joining staff worships, collaborative meetings, professional learning opportunities, and community-building events.

Beyond the classroom, this role includes supervision duties and participation in student recruitment and outreach activities. MUAA is supported by a committed school board, surrounding constituent churches, and a forward-thinking conference office that is deeply invested in educational excellence and growth in the Miami area.

Miami Union Adventist Academy has a strong history of academic achievement and is currently expanding and enhancing its secondary academic programs, including partnerships with colleges and universities.   • Active Seventh-day Adventist teaching certification (or currently in the certification process)

Required Experience

Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in English or a related field is required
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Teaching certification required or in progress
  • Practicing Seventh-day Adventist in good standing
  • Demonstrated commitment to the holistic development of young people—academically, spiritually, socially, and emotionally
