William A. Kirlew Jr. Academy is an elementary school located in Miami Gardens, Florida. Nine full-time teachers, an administrator, and additional support personnel provide instruction to about 130 students in kindergarten through eighth grade. WAKJA is seeking a principal for the upcoming school year (beginning July 2026) who is passionate about Adventist education and committed to excellence. The principal’s role involves coordinating with the school board, two constituent churches, and the Florida Conference Office of Education to advance the school’s vision and mission. The principal is responsible for fostering a well-balanced environment that promotes spiritual and academic growth while providing opportunities for service, social development, and physical activity. They will also evaluate and modify the strategic plans to meet the current needs of WAKJA.

Applicant must be a tithe-paying Seventh-day Adventist church member in good standing and have the legal right to work in the United States, providing evidence if employed. A minimum of a bachelor's degree with North American Division (Denominational) Teacher Certification is required and must be maintained (or must agree to work towards obtaining NAD Certification). Holding a master's degree in an education-related field is preferred. A minimum of five years of successful administrative experience is preferred.
