Description

North Tampa Christian Academy is a rapidly growing kindergarten through twelfth-grade school with nearly 600 students. The school is located in Wesley Chapel, one of the fastest growing communities in the country. This innovative school combines the advantages of Adventist education with the latest advances in facilities design, instructional practice, technology, and entrepreneurial leadership. Instructional practices include blended learning, competency-based grading, collaborative teaching, and project-based learning.

NTCA is seeking a high school English teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. Responsibilities may include teaching AP and dual enrollment classes, so holding a master's degree or higher is preferred. The candidate must be a team player, creative, and able to deliver instruction to students using a variety of teaching methods and activities.

Required Experience

Applicants must be a tithe-paying Seventh-day Adventist church members in good standing and have the legal right to work in the United States, providing evidence if employed. A master's degree and North American Division (Denominational) Teacher Certification in English is required and must be maintained (or must agree to work towards obtaining NAD Certification). Successful experience in teaching AP and dual enrollment classes is preferred. Must have a service-oriented attitude, possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, and be able to work with students and families of diverse backgrounds. Possessing competent technology skills using current educational software and hardware is essential.
