Amazing Grace Academy (AGA) is seeking two full-time elementary teachers for the 2026-2027 school year for a two grade classroom in grades 1-6.
With nearly 100 students, this Pre-K-12th grade school has room to grow personally and professionally. AGA gained full high school accreditation within the past 10 years and would like to see the school thrive and grow as an outreach to the communities it serves. Teachers typically have two grades in their homeroom. We have a flexible and multi-talented staff, and we will determine specific grade level placements based on the strengths and passions of our incoming staff to ensure everyone thrives.
At AGA, you aren’t just an isolated teacher in a classroom; you are part of a mission-driven team. We share a building with the Palmer SDA Church and enjoy deep, active support from our pastor, boards, and local and church families.
Because we value a team-focused environment, our faculty and staff work closely together to share resources, responsibilities, ideas, and encouragement. The ideal candidate is a team player who is excited to collaborate and grow alongside a staff that supports one another.
The school is in the beautiful Matanuska-Susitna Valley in Palmer, Alaska, with stunning views of the mountains from the front door. Abundant opportunities for outdoor recreation, wildlife, and outdoor activities can supplement the classroom experience and your personal life. Close to hiking, skiing, snowshoeing, canoeing, kayaking, fishing, and endless options for photography, Amazing Grace Academy is an ideal location for someone who loves the beauty of nature.
By the way, it isn’t dark all day in the winter here! Our shortest days are only one hour shorter than Seattle. We are one hour from Anchorage and the airport. This is an awesome place to work and play!
The ideal candidate is a warm and caring, qualified and competent, energetic and excited teacher who is ready to share Jesus in the rewarding ministry of Adventist education. Strong organizational skills, positive and frequent communication with parents, and academic competence is required.
Candidates must be:
If you are seeking an opportunity in teaching where you can make a great difference for Christ while living in a beautiful location with endless potential for adventure, we would love to talk to you!
