Description: Killeen Adventist Junior Academy (KAJA) is seeking a compassionate, self-motivated, and collaborative 3rd/4th-grade teacher who is committed to the mission and philosophy of Adventist education. KAJA is a PreK–12 school located in the heart of Texas. As a small school with big dreams, KAJA is supported by a dedicated school board, engaged families, and a caring church community. The mission of KAJA is to provide a high-quality, Christ-centered education in a safe, caring, and supportive learning environment. KAJA 
emphasizes spiritual growth, service to others, and academic excellence, preparing students to thrive both academically and spiritually.
 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Deliver engaging, Christ-centered instruction aligned with the Adventist curriculum
  • Foster a positive, nurturing, and spiritually enriching classroom environment
  • Integrate faith and learning while promoting academic excellence
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction to meet diverse learning needs
  • Collaborate with school staff, parents, and the church community to support student development
  • Maintain accurate records, reports, and communication with parents and administration
  • Participate in school activities, professional development, and staff meetings
  • Uphold school policies, safety standards, and Adventist educational principles
Required Experience

Qualifications

  • Must be eligible to work in the United States
  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Education from an accredited institution
  • Denominational teaching certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Active membership in the Seventh-day Adventist Church
  • Experience in education preferred
  • Strong commitment to integrating faith and learning
  • Demonstrate strong classroom management skills
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills, and a team player
  • Ability to inspire and engage students in a Christ-centered environment
