About Our School

Nestled in nineteen acres in the green hills of southern Guam, Guam Adventist Academy is a fully accredited K-12 day school operated by the Guam Micronesia Mission of Seventh-day Adventists under the North American Division. A small school of 100 students, we are focused on growing and are seeking qualified administration, faculty, and staff who have energy, a learner's spirit, are adaptable, respectful of cultures, and who thrive on diversity.

Guam is U.S. soil and a great jumping-off point for vacation trips to Asia, Australia, New Zealand and the islands of Micronesia. There are opportunities year-round for diving, snorkeling, and long walks on beaches with spectacular island sunsets.

The island is a richly multicultural community where English and Chamorro are spoken alongside many Asian and Micronesian languages. It combines small-town, rural, and suburban living with a predominantly and devoutly Catholic population of about 165,000 residents.

The Seventh-Day Adventist Church's ministry in the community includes eight SDA churches and companies, a church-owned medical and dental clinic, an SDA radio station, and our SDA school. Guam is also headquarters to AWR Asia, which beams the gospel through radio waves into unreachable mountain regions, valleys, and jungles, as well as into cities and villages across Asia from the Philippines deep into the heart of China.

Role Description

We seek a student-focused Principal who will help us grow our enrollment during a dramatic increase in population for Guam, one who celebrates success and fosters growth. 

We value visionary, collaborative leadership, solid communication skills, accountability, transparency, resilience, and adaptability. 

Requirements

• Requires at least a BA or BS or comparable degree and/or comparable value in experience.
• The appropriate degree, positive experience, creative teaching abilities, superb communication skills, a multitasker with solid recommendations from supervisors, parents, and colleagues.
