Serving students from Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 12, the school has an enrollment of approximately 400 students, making it the largest private school in the area.

Role Description

The Missionary Principal serves as the spiritual, academic, and administrative leader of the school, providing overall direction in alignment with Seventh-day Adventist philosophy and values. This full-time position oversees daily school operations, curriculum implementation, faculty supervision, student discipline, and parent and community relations.

The Principal is responsible for fostering a strong spiritual culture through chapel programs, Weeks of Prayer, worship services, and staff devotionals, while also promoting academic excellence and holistic student development from Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 12. The role includes mentoring teachers, supporting professional growth, and ensuring effective communication with parents, church leaders, and governing boards.

As a missionary role, the Principal is expected to model Christ-centered leadership, actively engage with the local church and community, and support outreach and service activities that advance the mission of Adventist education.

Required Experience

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field
  • Commitment to Seventh-day Adventist beliefs, values, and educational philosophy
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to provide spiritual leadership to students, staff, and the school community
  • Willingness to serve in a missionary capacity and support school, church, and community programs
  • Experience in teaching or school administration
  • Fluency in English
  • Preferred: background or experience in leadership, administration, or educational management
  • Preferred: ability to adjust to island living and work harmoniously within the local culture
  • Preferred: respectful, flexible, and culturally sensitive in engaging with Marshallese customs, behaviors, and community values

Additional Information

Lodging will be provided with basic home furnishings and cleaning supplies. Wi-Fi is available in both the classrooms and apartments. Ten percent (10%) of salary will be deducted for rent, with an additional $20 for utilities.
