Forest Lake Academy (FLA) is one of the largest Adventist high schools in the North American Division and is located in Apopka, Florida, just eight miles north of Orlando. The school offers grades 9-12 to nearly 400 students and is on the same property as Forest Lake Education Center, a pre-k-8th-grade school with about 670 students. Numerous AdventHealth Hospitals and the Adventist Health System headquarters as well as all of the attractions in Orlando (Disney, Universal, SeaWorld, etc.) and the beaches are only a short distance away from FLA. By this fall, the school will have just completed an extensive expansion project that is creating a renewed energy and excitement on campus with the new facilities.
FLA is seeking a full-time caring, dynamic, engaging, creative, and student-centered high school innovation instructor for the 2026-2027 school year. The school has one of the most effective and comprehensive innovation programs in the denomination. The innovation candidate should be familiar with:
The ideal candidate should be able to work with a variety of students in a multicultural environment and be committed to developing and growing innovation and creativity programs. They must prepare students to participate in competitions and other learning opportunities. Effective communication with colleagues, administration, and parents is vital. The employee may be responsible for other duties within the school program (such as class sponsorships, supervision) as determined by the administration.

Applicant must be a tithe-paying Seventh-day Adventist church member in good standing and have the legal right to work in the United States, providing evidence if employed. A minimum of a bachelor's degree with North American Division (Denominational) Teacher Certification is required and must be maintained (or must agree to work towards obtaining NAD Certification). A minimum of three years of successful classroom experience is preferred.
