Missionary | 1st and 2nd Grade Teacher | Yap, Federated States of Micronesia

Yap SDA School in Yap, FM
North American Division Union | Guam-Micronesia Mission
Description

About Our School

Yap Seventh-day Adventist School is located on the island of Yap in Micronesia and serves students in grades K–12, with an approximate enrollment of 80 students. The school provides a Bible-based, Christ-centered, and service-oriented education rooted in Seventh-day Adventist beliefs and supported by a close-knit island community.

Established on August 27, 1987, the school began through the vision and commitment of dedicated parents and guardians who recognized the need for Adventist education on Yap. Land was donated for the campus, and the school opened with 53 students under the leadership of three missionary teachers—Mr. and Mrs. Robert Bramhall and Mr. Whalen—who were inspired by strong community support. From its beginnings in a four-room pole building, the school has grown to include a full high school program and multiple purpose-built classrooms, reflecting its ongoing commitment to spiritual growth, academic excellence, and service to the community.
