About Our School
Yap Seventh-day Adventist School is located on the island of Yap in Micronesia and serves students in grades K–12, with an approximate enrollment of 80 students. The school provides a Bible-based, Christ-centered, and service-oriented education rooted in Seventh-day Adventist beliefs and supported by a close-knit island community.
Role Description
The High School Bible Teacher is a full-time position responsible for teaching Bible and Spiritual Development to students in grades 9–12, with integration of character education, discipleship, and service learning. Class sizes are small, with approximately 10–20 students per class. The teacher will be responsible for lesson planning, instruction, classroom management, assessment, and student supervision while presenting Bible-based, Christ-centered instruction. The position includes mentoring students in spiritual growth, leading worship and service opportunities, and fostering a nurturing, mission-focused classroom environment. The teacher will collaborate closely with colleagues, parents, and the school community to support the spiritual life of the school.
