Collegedale Academy (CA) is a thriving Seventh-day Adventist K-12 school located in Collegedale, TN. Serving approximately 900 students, CA’s location on the campus of Southern Adventist University provides an environment that supports strong academic achievement. More importantly, however, the spiritual opportunities throughout our school/church community are invaluable.

 CA is seeking a dynamic, spiritually grounded, full-time NAD-certified Seventh-day Adventist educator to serve as a middle school language arts teacher for grades 7–8. Responsibilities include teaching the language arts classes, student supervision, and fulfilling other duties as assigned by administration. 

The ideal candidate is passionate about youth ministry, teamwork, and leadership in students. This educator will partner with school leadership to create learning experiences that promote critical thinking, spiritual growth, and personal reflection within a Christ-centered environment.

Successful candidates will demonstrate a collaborative spirit, a growth mindset, and a commitment to holistic Adventist education. A minimum of three years of successful teaching experience is preferred.

·       Proficient in teaching writing and reading to a variety of learners

·       Strong verbal and written communication skills

·       A service-oriented, Christ-centered approach to education

·       Ability to build meaningful relationships with students and families from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds

·       Commitment to supporting students’ spiritual, academic, physical, and social development

Required Experience

Minimum: B.S. degree and current NAD Elementary certification. Salary and benefits are based on the denominational wage scale and policy. Georgia-Cumberland Conference offers all full-time teachers the option of 10 or 12-month remuneration. Must have the legal right to work in the United States and be able to provide evidence of that right if employed.
