Mayfair Christian School in Uniontown, OH
Columbia Union Conference | Ohio Conference
Description

Mayfair Christian School (MCS) in the warm, welcoming community of Uniontown, Ohio, is seeking a spirit-filled, creative, and passionate Kindergarten Educator to join our dedicated teaching team. Just minutes from the vibrant downtowns of Akron and Canton, our fully accredited K-8 Seventh-day Adventist school blends access to rich educational and cultural resources with the heartfelt warmth of a close-knit faith community.

As a thriving ministry supported by an engaged constituent church, a visionary school board, and a team of educators deeply committed to Adventist education, MCS serves students from diverse backgrounds in a dynamic, inclusive learning environment rooted in Christ’s love. Guided by our mission “To learn, lead, and live for Jesus,” we are part of the largest Protestant educational system in the world, where every child is nurtured to grow mentally, physically, and spiritually.

This is a joyful opportunity for an educator who loves early learners, thrives on hands-on teaching, and is called to nurture the whole child—spiritually, academically, socially, and emotionally—while helping lay a strong foundation of faith and learning for life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Seventh-day Adventist-Based Early Childhood Instruction: Foster a nurturing, Christ-centered classroom where students grow in faith and knowledge every day.
  • Instructional Excellence: Deliver a developmentally appropriate, play-based curriculum that sparks early literacy, numeracy, and foundational skills through joyful exploration and discovery.
  • Student Engagement: Infuse the classroom with energy, creativity, and warmth to ignite curiosity and a lifelong love for learning in our youngest students.
  • Classroom Management: Build a calm, safe, and structured environment grounded in mutual respect, positive reinforcement, and Christ-like character.
  • Collaborative Spirit: Partner closely with fellow teachers, school staff, and families to create a cohesive, supportive school experience that reflects our shared mission.
  • Mission Alignment: Weave Adventist values and worldview seamlessly into daily lessons, classroom culture, and every interaction.

Why MCS?

  • A supportive, spiritually vibrant school and church community where faith comes alive every day.
  • Committed leadership and governance fully aligned with the mission of Seventh-day Adventist education.
  • Abundant educational and cultural experiences in the greater Akron/Canton metro area.
  • A collaborative, mission-focused team of educators united in excellence and dedicated to preparing students to learn, lead, and live for Jesus.
  • The opportunity to make an eternal impact in the lives of young hearts while growing professionally in a school that values and invests in its teachers.

If you are a passionate educator ready to help shape the foundation of faith and learning for our youngest students in a thriving Seventh-day Adventist environment, we would love to hear from you!
