Livingstone Adventist Academy (LAA) is a Pre-K–12 Seventh-day Adventist school located in Salem, Oregon, the state capital, in the heart of the Willamette Valley. LAA serves a diverse student population and is committed to excellence in Christian education. Founded in 1898, LAA currently enrolls approximately 135 students and continues to experience steady growth. The school operates on a new campus completed in 2019, featuring modern classrooms, a gymnasium, athletic field, and technology-rich learning environments.

LAA is seeking a full-time High School Mathematics Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year.

Teaching Assignment may include:
Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, Pre-Calculus, and/or Mathematics for Data & Financial Literacy.

  • Provide high-quality instruction using a student-centered, standards-based approach
  • Collaborate with faculty in planning, assessment, and student support
  • Monitor and communicate student academic progress
  • Foster positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues
  • Implement restorative and Christ-centered classroom management practices
  • Fulfill responsibilities typical of a teacher in an Adventist school
     
Required Experience
  • Seventh-day Adventist church member in good standing 
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mathematics and/or Education (master’s preferred)
  • NAD Teaching Certification in Math preferred (or willingness to work toward certification)
  • High school math teaching experience preferred
  • Experience with Standards-Based Learning preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States
  • Salary and benefits are based on the NAD denominational wage scale and policies.
