Spring Valley Academy is seeking a passionate and nurturing Kindergarten Teacher to join our elementary team. Serving approximately 600 students, Spring Valley Academy is committed to Christ-centered education, academic excellence, and nurturing the whole child. This position supports our growing elementary program and plays a key role in shaping students’ first formal school experience.
Position Overview
The Kindergarten Teacher will provide developmentally appropriate instruction that builds a strong foundation in early literacy, numeracy, social-emotional growth, and faith formation. The successful candidate will create a warm, engaging classroom environment where young learners feel safe, loved, and excited to learn.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach kindergarten students using age-appropriate, engaging instructional practices
- Foster early literacy, math, social-emotional learning, and foundational academic skills
- Create a nurturing, Christ-centered classroom culture
- Collaborate with grade-level teachers, support staff, and administration
- Communicate effectively with families to support student growth
- Participate in school events, chapel, and community activities

Required Experience
Qualifications
- Strong commitment to Christian values and the philosophy of Seventh-day Adventist education
- NAD (North American Division) teacher certification or eligibility to obtain certification
- Degree in Elementary Education
- Experience teaching elementary
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment

- Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States
