Pine Hills Adventist Academy is seeking a qualified leader to principal a TK-12 school in the beautiful Sierra Nevada foothills in Auburn, California. Auburn is below the mountain snow line, above the Sacramento valley fog line and provides easy access to myriad outdoor recreation pursuits. Pine Hills is supported by several surrounding churches and enjoys the reputation of a strong academic program and a spiritual campus. The school’s enrollment is usually 150-165 students and benefits from supportive and engaged families along with financial stability. The successful candidate will be a strong team builder both with staff and the community, have strong organizational skills, be fiscally responsible, have a good rapport with students and have a connection with their Savior.
Required experience: five (5) years of teaching experience in either an elementary or secondary classroom or both, in an Adventist school.
Preferred additional experience: The ideal candidate will also hold a current Administrator Certificate, have successful administrative experience with both elementary and secondary grades, have an understanding of secondary curriculum/college preparation and knowledge of the WASC/AAA accreditation process. Also preferred is the ability to show evidence of experience with how to handle discipline effectively, be a good motivator and lead in a vision for the school.
