Meadow Glade Adventist Elementary School is seeking a teacher to work with a collobrate team of 5-6 teachers who is committed to excellence in teaching, healthy parent/teacher relationships, self-development, and collegial collaboration. This individual is a Godly person who wishes to make a positive difference in students’ lives, as we show them how to walk in the steps of Jesus.  We are looking for a teacher who will create a learning environment where students will feel safe and accepted. A teacher who is able to use differentiated instruction techniques to meet students' individual needs, and integrate lessons across the curriculum to make learning a fun, hands-on experience.

The job will include teaching in a self-contained classroom of core and content area subjects appropriate to Grades 5-6, including Bible, English-Language Arts, Fine Arts, Literacy, Mathematics, Social Studies, Science, and the integration of technology within the curriculum.

Teacher candidates should have excellent classroom management skills, be proficient with both traditional and differentiated methods of instruction, have the ability to integrate technology across the curriculum and have knowledge and experience of multi-age environments. Supervision and sponsorship duties are a requirement of this position, and may require work hours outside a traditional school week.

The applicant must hold a bachelor’s degree or higher. Possess a valid denominational certification for elementary grades, as well as hold or be eligible to obtain a Washington state teaching license. Salary and benefits are based on the denominational wage scale and policy.
