Position Overview

Spring Valley Academy is seeking a dedicated and student-centered ESL (English as a Second Language) Teacher to serve our diverse student population. This position is employed by the public school system and assigned full-time to Spring Valley Academy. The selected candidate will be an employee of the public school district, receiving all salary, benefits, and support through the district, while working daily on the Spring Valley Academy campus.

This role is ideal for an educator who is passionate about language acquisition, cultural inclusion, and helping multilingual learners thrive in both academic and social settings.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide ESL instruction to students across grade levels as assigned
• Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with state standards and district curriculum
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to support English Language Learners (ELLs) in content areas
• Assess student language proficiency and track progress
• Create a supportive, inclusive learning environment for multilingual students
• Communicate regularly with families, school staff, and administrators
• Participate in professional development, meetings, and school events as required

• Valid teaching license through the public school system (with ESL/ELL endorsement or eligibility)
• Bachelor’s degree in Education, TESOL, Linguistics, or related field (Master’s preferred)
• Experience working with English Language Learners (preferred)
• Strong classroom management and instructional skills
• Culturally responsive teaching mindset
• Ability to collaborate effectively with both public school and Spring Valley Academy staff
