Description

Pine Tree Academy is seeking a  Christ centered, mission-driven, results-oriented Development Director to spearhead its academy advancement efforts. Located in coastal Freeport, Maine,  PTA serves students in PreK through 12th grade. The school is only ten minutes from the ocean, and the beautiful White mountains of New Hampshire are less than two hours drive. This long-established day school with excellent academics, music program and varsity sports presently serves 130 students. Not only are we blessed with natural beauty but is home to L.L Bean and other numerous outlets and locally owned shops. We are also close the rich cultural and historical experiences of Portland, ME and Boston, Massachusetts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement an integrated fundraising plan to support the needs of Pine Tree Academy
  • Serve as the main liaison between PTA and Philanthropic Service for Institutions (PSI) at the North American Division (NAD)
  • Manage grant search, proposal writing, and program management of grants received.
  • Lead fundraising, student recruitment, and alumni affairs activities, including management of volunteers for event fundraisers and alumni weekends.
  • Manage donor communications including all fundraising campaigns and ensure processing and acknowledgement of all gifts
  • Maintain prospect and donor data accuracy using a database to manage a portfolio of individual and institutional supporters
  • Coordinate with school administration and school board in school marketing plan
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the school principal

 

 

 

Required Experience
  • Bachelor's degree required, Master's or CFRE preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in fundraising or related field required.
  • Grant management experience preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and project management skills essential.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Understanding of and commitment to the mission of Adventist education.
  • Minimal travel; occasional evening or weekend events.
