Description

Upper Columbia Academy (UCA) is seeking a full-time principal for the academy starting the 2026-2027 school year. UCA is a strong grades 9-12 boarding academy of approximately 220 students for the current school year. Students have the option of being either full-time dorm, part-time dorm, or village (community) students. There is a partner campus in Coeur d’Alene that UCA works with for grades 9 and 10 students. UCA is the boarding academy for the Upper Columbia Conference and is located 20 minutes south of Spokane, WA.

The ideal candidate will:

Demonstrate strong spiritual leadership for both students and staff

Excel at purposeful communication to all stakeholders, including recruitment activities

Support the professional development of UCA’s staff

Collaborate with the VP for Finance to ensure financial sustainability of the academy

Guide the refinement and enaction of UCA’s vision and mission

Collaborate with UCC’s Education Department.

 

Salary and benefits are based on the denominational wage scale and policies.

Required Experience

The qualified candidate must be a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in good and regular standing. Candidates must have at least a bachelor’s degree, and hold denominational certification or be willing to work towards it. Previous administrative experience is preferred. Candidates must already possess, and be able to provide evidence of, the legal right to work and reside in the United States.
