Sandpoint Junior Academy (SJA) is seeking a full-time 5th–8th Grade Teaching Principal for the 2026–2027 school year. We are looking for an energetic, creative, organized, and caring individual who loves Jesus and has a heart for young learners. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to Christian education and lead by example both spiritually and professionally.

SJA serves approximately 40 students with a dedicated team of three teachers. The school is organized into three classrooms: Grades 1–2, Grades 3–4, and Grades 5–8.

SJA is located in Sandpoint, Idaho, a vibrant and growing community on the shores of Lake Pend Oreille. The area offers abundant outdoor recreation, including skiing at Schweitzer Mountain Resort, as well as hiking and biking trails throughout the Selkirk and Cabinet Mountains. Spokane, Washington is just 75 miles southwest.

Salary and benefits are based on the denominational wage scale and policies.

The qualified candidate must be a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in good and regular standing. Candidates must have at least a bachelor’s degree and hold denominational certification or be willing to work towards it. Candidates must already possess, and be able to provide evidence of, the legal right to work and reside in the United States.
