Model System Principal Talent Pool 

We are prayerfully looking to build our talent pool of passionate leaders that are looking for the next step in their careers and want to be part of reimagining Adventist Education. About the Model System 

The Model System is a bold, faith-forward initiative reimagining Seventh-day Adventist education through joyful, innovative schools. Launched through a partnership between the Southwest Region Conference and the Bainum Family Foundation, the Model System provides a network of small, mighty schools where students encounter Jesus, feel seen, deeply valued, and equipped to thrive. 

We are seeking innovative, passionate leaders and educators eager to help pioneer this next chapter of Adventist education. Principals bring engaging, student-centered learning to life through the Model System’s play-centered COMPASS Learning Framework, as part of a collaborative community of deeply caring educators.  

What It Means to Be a Principal in the Model System 

As a school leader, you will help shape the culture, practices, and impact of Model System schools. This role is ideal for leaders who are energized by building something meaningful from the ground up. Principals thrive in shaping collaborative environments, love developing their staff, are excited to continually develop their own abilities, and believe that joy is essential to great leadership. In collaboration with your school team, leaders will: 

 

  • Collaborate closely with Central Office Leaders to align their schools with Model System vision and values 
  • Co-create vibrant classrooms and school culture 
  • Contribute to the refinement of curriculum and systems 
  • Embrace feedback and continuous improvement 
  • Model flexibility, creativity, and resilience 
  • Build strong partnerships with families and the local community 
  • Foster a school community that promotes belonging, equity and joyful learning

Required Experience

We are seeking leaders who: 

  • Love and serve students as Jesus did, honoring each child as a beloved creation of God 
  • Active support of a Seventh-day Adventist worldview and church mission 
  • Bring 3+ years successful experience teaching and/or leading other educators and guiding them to thrive (college internship & student teaching experience will be considered) 
  • Hold a bachelor’s degree in education or related field (masters preferred) and eligible for denominational teaching & administrator’s certificate 
  • Clear, warm, and professional communication that builds trust  
  • Adaptability and resilience in evolving environments 
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, belonging, and inclusion 
  • Have successfully led school communities through transformation and have a steadfast commitment to team development and building a culture of safety
