Description

Maple Creek Adventist Academy(MCAA) is seeking an enthusiastic teaching principal who is excited to positively impact young people's lives for Christ. MCAA has a very supportive school board who is committed to working with the teacher to grow Maple Creek. MCAA currently has a part-time teacher aide, part time teacher, and volunteers to help support the teaching principal in caring for students in grades 1-8.  MCAA is physically located in a separate building on the property of Columbus Seventh-day Adventist Church in Columbus, IN. MCAA is supported by multiple welcoming and loving area churches that are excited about Adventist Education. MCAA is a Choice School which allows parents and educators to enroll their children at a very small cost. 

Required Experience

The successful candidate must love Jesus and be involved in the ministry of the Adventist church, be able to adapt to the various needs of children in a multi-grade environment, plan and implement engaging faith-based lessons, cultivate a Christ-centered and supportive learning environment, collaborate with students, parents, staff, and volunteers, participate in school and church-related activities,  communicate well while maintaining a positive social emotional learning approach, and have strong technology skills with a variety of web-based platforms. 

Requirements:

Must be a committed Seventh-day Adventist with a passion for Adventist Education.

Have a Bachelor's degree in education or related field (required)

Hold a valid NAD teaching certification(able to obtain), and willingness to obtain Indiana State licensure

Have experience in a one-room or multi-grade classroom preferred

Current ability to work in the United States of America.

Maple Creek Adventist Academy located in Columbus, Indiana was opened in August 2021. God worked providentially to open many doors so that the Columbus district could have a Seventh-day Adventist Christian School again.

Maple Creek Adventist Academy, a Seventh-day Adventist Christian school, is dedicated to preparing young people for service now and for eternity.
