Description

Tulsa Adventist Academy is seeking a part-time Teacher’s Aide for the combined 3rd–4th grade classroom beginning with the 2026–2027 school year. This position is approximately 20 hours per week.

The Teacher’s Aide works under the direction of the classroom teacher to support daily instruction and help maintain a positive, organized learning environment. This classroom serves more than 20 students across two grade levels, so the aide plays an important role in helping the teacher manage classroom activities and provide additional support to students.

Responsibilities may include assisting with classroom instruction, working with small groups or individual students, preparing instructional materials, and supporting classroom organization and supervision throughout the school day.

Required Experience

  • Active member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church
  • Commitment to the mission and philosophy of Adventist education
  • Experience working with children in a classroom or similar setting preferred
  • Ability to work collaboratively under the direction of a classroom teacher
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Dependable, organized, and able to support a structured learning environment

  • Assist the classroom teacher with daily instructional activities
  • Support small-group or individual student learning as directed by the teacher
  • Help maintain a positive and organized classroom environment
  • Assist with preparation of classroom materials and learning activities
  • Support classroom supervision during lessons, transitions, and activities
  • Encourage respectful behavior and positive student engagement
  • Work collaboratively with the classroom teacher and school staff
