Description

Campion Academy is seeking a Director of Agriculture to provide leadership, instruction,
and oversight for the school’s agriculture program. This individual develops and
manages a sustainable agriculture program that supports student learning, contributes
produce to the cafeteria, and fosters spiritual growth, work ethic, and service. The
Director integrates faith, education, and agriculture in a way that reflects the mission of
Seventh-day Adventist education.

Key Responsibilities

  • Model a Christ-centered life and uphold the beliefs, values, and lifestyle of the
    Seventh-day Adventist Church.
  • Provide leadership, organization, and oversight of the agriculture program and its daily
    operations.
  • Develop and implement a vision and strategic plan for the agriculture program.
  • Teach agriculture classes and integrate hands-on learning with classroom instruction.
  • Supervise, train, and mentor student workers in agricultural responsibilities.
  • Oversee agricultural production to supplement produce for the school cafeteria.
  • Maintain land, facilities, and equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and sustainable
    operations.
  • Foster a structured, educational, and growth-oriented work environment for students.
  • Serve as a mentor and role model, supporting students’ spiritual, personal, and
    vocational development.
  • Participate as a member of the campus supervision team.
  • Develop mission and outreach opportunities through the agriculture program.
  • Manage and oversee the agriculture program budget and resources.
  • Collaborate effectively with faculty, staff, and administration to support student success
    and school mission.
  • Other duties as assigned by administration.
Required Experience

Preferred

  • Master’s degree in agriculture, education, or related field.
  • Experience in a boarding school
  • Background in sustainable agriculture or farm-to-school programs.
  • Experience in business operations or demonstrated business acumen.

Required

  • Active member in good standing of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
  • Strong commitment to the mission and philosophy of Seventh-day Adventist
    education.
  • Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, agricultural education, or related field.
  • Teaching credential or ability to obtain certification.
  • Demonstrated leadership, organization, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in agriculture operations and/or agricultural education.
  • Ability to mentor and work effectively with teenagers in a boarding school environment.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule typical of boarding school life.

Salary and Benefits:
Compensation is based on the denominational wage scale policy. Applicants must already have the legal right to work in the United States and provide evidence of that right if employed.
