Description

Daughter of Zion Junior Academy (DOZJA), located in beautiful Delray Beach, Florida  is seeking a dynamic, Christ-centered middle school teacher for the 2026-2027 school year.  We are seeking someone who is passionate about guiding students through the critical academic and spiritual development that occurs during the middle school years.

Teachers help students grow academically while mentoring them in leadership, responsibility, and Christian character within a Christ-centered learning environment. 

Faculty members support The DOZJA Way, which focuses on Christ-centered instruction, academic rigor, leadership development, service, and character growth.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Teach middle school students in assigned subject areas
  • Design engaging and academically rigorous lesson plans
  • Integrate Christian faith and Seventh-day Adventist values across the curriculum
  • Foster critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Create a structured and respectful classroom environment
  • Utilize differentiated instruction to meet diverse learning needs
  • Incorporate technology and interactive teaching methods
  • Communicate consistently with parents regarding student progress
  • Participate in weeks of prayer, student activities, and daily worships
  • Supervise students during school activities and events
  • Collaborate with faculty and administration

 

 

 

 

Required Experience

We are seeking enthusiastic and self-motivated educators who:

  • Have a bachelor's degree in education or related academic field
  • Have denominational certification or have a willingness to work towards it
  • Active members of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in good and regular standing
  • Legally eligible to reside and work in the United States
  • Committed to the philosophy and mission of Seventh-day Adventist education
  • Demonstrate strong instructional and classroom management skills
  • Demonstrate the ability to mentor and motivate middle school students
  • Possess strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Demonstrate a commitment to student leadership and character development
