Job Summary

Advent Ridge Academy is a 4-teacher PreK through 10th grade school serving 50 students. We are located on the campus of the San Marcos SDA Church, which is between Austin and San Antonio in the beautiful Hill Country of Texas. ARA has an opening for a caring and dedicated multi-grade Teaching Principal to serve as both the school’s Principal and the 6th-8th Homeroom Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. Teachers at ARA work as a team and may teach to the subjects of their strengths or areas of experience. This gives some flexibility to subjects being taught by each teacher. The ideal candidate for this position will be willing to also teach a class or two to the other classrooms according to his or her experiences.

ARA is looking for an SDA teacher with a willingness to model our beliefs, lifestyle, values, and standards. The ARA mission is equipping students to be servant leaders by seeking God first.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, Christ-centered instruction aligned with the Adventist curriculum

• Foster a positive, nurturing, and spiritually enriching classroom environment

• Integrate faith and learning while promoting academic excellence

• Assess student progress and adjust instruction to meet diverse learning needs

• Collaborate with school staff, parents, and the church community to support student development

• Maintain accurate records, reports, and communication with parents and administration

• Participate in school activities, professional development, and staff meetings

• Uphold school policies, safety standards, and Adventist educational principles

Qualifications

• Authorized to work in the United States

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Elementary Education from an accredited institution

• Denominational teaching certification (or willingness to obtain)

• Active membership in the Seventh-day Adventist Church

• Experience in teaching and administration preferred

• Strong commitment to integrating faith and learning

• Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

• Ability to inspire and engage students in a Christ-centered environment
