Tree of Life Christian Preparatory School is seeking a passionate and dedicated 5th & 6th Grade Teacher to join our team. Located in historic Fredericksburg, Virginia, within driving distance of Washington, D.C. and Richmond, our school serves students from Pre-K through 8th grade.

Position Overview

The ideal candidate will create a dynamic, engaging, and Christ-centered classroom environment while teaching upper elementary students. This role involves guiding students academically, spiritually, and socially, preparing them for continued success.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons in core subjects (Language Arts, Math, Science, Social Studies, Bible) 
• Integrate biblical principles into daily instruction 
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs 
• Assess and monitor student progress using data-driven practices 
• Foster a positive, structured, and respectful classroom environment 
• Communicate effectively with parents, students, and staff 
• Collaborate with colleagues and participate in professional development 
• Support school programs, events, and extracurricular activities 

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field (required) 
• Teaching certification (preferred) 
• Experience teaching upper elementary or middle school (preferred) 
• Strong Christian faith and commitment to Christian education 
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
