Forest Lake Education Center (FLEC) is a large pre-k through eighth-grade school located in Longwood, Florida, just 8 miles from downtown Orlando and very close to Forest Lake Academy. The school has an enrollment of about 670 students, with each grade having multiple teachers and classrooms. FLEC is actively pursuing certification through Marzano High Reliability Schools. They have completed Levels 1 & 2 certification and are pursuing Level 3.
FLEC is seeking an ESS Director to oversee all aspects of the Resource Department. Responsibilities include overseeing the school counselors, resource teaching staff, accelerated program, peer tutoring, etc. They will also coordinate with the Seminole County Public School when a student needs testing.

Applicant must be a tithe-paying Seventh-day Adventist church member in good standing and have the legal right to work in the United States, providing evidence if employed. A minimum of a bachelor's degree with North American Division (Denominational) Teacher Certification is required and must be maintained (or must agree to work towards obtaining NAD Certification). Holding a master's degree in an education special needs-related field is preferred. A minimum of five years of successful experience is preferred.
