Position

Part-time ninth grade religion teacher with a pastoral heart and a passion for guiding students in their spiritual walk with Christ through the Encounter curriculum program, in accordance with the curriculum guidelines and requirements of the NAD Office of Education of Seventh-day Adventists. The teacher will create a Christ-centered classroom environment that encourages faith development, biblical understanding, and meaningful dialogue. Duties include planning and facilitating engaging religious instruction, mentoring students spiritually, and collaborating with administrators to uphold school policies, procedures, and the spiritual mission of the school. 

Required Experience

Requirements

• Practicing member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church 

• Bachelor’s Degree 

• Applicants serving as pastors must be ordained 

• Completion of the Encounters Training Certification for grades 9-12 

• Local Fingerprint and Background Check clearance 

• Sterling Volunteers clearance 

Qualifications 

• Prior teaching experience preferred 

• Strong organizational skills 

• Strong people skills
