Description

Position: 

The Associate Dean of Handy Hall will work alongside the Head Dean to ensure that the boys in the dormitory adhere to the guidelines, policies and procedures set forth by Pine Forge Academy.  The  Associate Dean will oversee any student behavioral and behavioral management issues that may arise  within the school setting and will seek to resolve any conflicts within the dormitory setting.   

Required Experience

Qualifications: 

• Practicing member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church 

• Bachelor’s degree in education, counseling, or a related field, with a master’s degree preferred 

Requirements: 

• Eligible for denominational teacher certificate 

• Three to five years of experience in residential life, teaching, or student counseling 

• Three to five years in student affairs, teaching, or administrative roles in a high school boarding setting 

• Strong understanding of adolescent development, leadership and conflict resolution 

• Experience in independent or boarding schools is highly valued 

• Local Fingerprint and Background Check clearance 

• Sterling Volunteers clearance
