Spring Valley Academy is seeking a mission-driven, student-centered Vice Principal for Elementary Grades 1–5 to join our leadership team. This individual will play a vital role in fostering academic excellence, spiritual growth, and a positive school culture grounded in Seventh-day Adventist values.

Position Summary

The Elementary Vice Principal will support the Principal in leading grades 1–5, providing instructional leadership, supporting teachers, and helping cultivate a safe, structured, and Christ-centered learning environment. This role requires a collaborative leader who is passionate about education and committed to the mission of Adventist education.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the administration and supervision of the elementary program (Grades 1–5)
  • Support and mentor teachers through classroom observations, coaching, and professional development
  • Help implement and evaluate curriculum and instructional practices
  • Foster a positive, Christ-centered school culture among students and staff
  • Assist with student discipline in a redemptive and restorative manner
  • Partner with parents to support student success and spiritual growth
  • Coordinate and support school programs, events, and initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with educational standards and accreditation requirements
  • Step into leadership responsibilities in the absence of the Principal

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary based on education and experience in accordance with the Columbia Union Conference wage scale

Required Experience

Qualifications

  • Active member in good standing of the Seventh-day Adventist Church
  • Master’s degree preferred (Administration, Educational Leadership, Curriculum & Instruction, or related field)
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Prior teaching experience in elementary education required
  • Previous leadership or administrative experience preferred
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to Christian education and spiritual leadership
