Description

The Hollister Seventh-day Adventist Church School is seeking a dedicated, mission-driven Teacher/Principal to lead a Christ-centered K–4 program. This individual will provide both instructional leadership and classroom teaching, fostering academic excellence and spiritual growth in a multi-grade setting.

Position Summary:
The Teacher/Principal serves as the instructional leader and primary classroom teacher for grades K–4. This role combines teaching responsibilities with school leadership, including oversight of daily operations, student learning, and collaboration with the church and school board.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach a multi-grade K–4 classroom using effective, engaging instructional practices
  • Integrate faith and learning in alignment with Seventh-day Adventist Church educational philosophy
  • Provide leadership in curriculum implementation, student assessment, and school improvement
  • Supervise and support any additional staff or volunteers
  • Maintain communication with parents, church leadership, and the school board
  • Manage day-to-day school operations, including scheduling, reporting, and compliance
  • Promote a positive school culture that supports student spiritual, academic, and social development
  • Support enrollment efforts and community engagement
Required Experience

Qualifications

  • Commitment to the mission of Adventist education
  • Bachelor’s degree in education (Master’s preferred)
  • Current or eligible for denominational teaching certification
  • Experience in elementary or multi-grade teaching (preferred)
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with church and conference leadership
  • Ability to communicate well with staff, board and parents.
