Teaching Faculty - School of Business (Economics)

Southern Adventist University in Collegedale, TN
Southern Union Conference
Description

Southern Adventist University seeks a full-time teaching faculty member in the School of Business for face-to-face classroom instruction on the campus in Collegedale, TN, with expertise in applied business economics. The ideal candidate will excel at teaching how economic principles shape decisions, strategy, and outcomes across every area of business — not just in theory, but in the day-to-day realities of firms, markets, and organizations.

This role goes well beyond traditional economics. The successful candidate will help students and colleagues understand economics as a versatile framework for analyzing competitive strategy, pricing, consumer behavior, supply-chain resilience, talent markets, innovation, and global expansion. We are especially interested in scholars and teachers who can bridge economic insight with practical business applications and experience, using both analytical tools and real-world context to drive better decision-making; and who can effectively integrate course content with current events and real-world applications. Ideal candidates will facilitate learning congruent with a Christian biblical worldview and Seventh-day Adventist beliefs, fostering student engagement, spiritual growth, and career readiness in ethical, data-informed global business practices.
