Forest Lake Education Center (FLEC) is a large pre-k through eighth-grade school located in Longwood, Florida, just 8 miles from downtown Orlando and very close to Forest Lake Academy. The school has an enrollment of about 670 students, with each grade having multiple teachers and classrooms. FLEC is actively pursuing certification through Marzano High Reliability Schools. They have completed Levels 1 & 2 certification and are pursuing Level 3.
FLEC has an opening for a full-time physical education teacher for the upcoming school year. The ideal candidate must be passionate about young people as well as willing to participate in Professional Learning Communities, grow professionally, and take an active role in improving student outcomes. The teacher will be enthusiastic about young people and willing to work with school administration and the physical education/athletics team to create opportunities for the students to develop physical skills and fitness. An emphasis should be placed on developing Christian sportsmanship while the students grow in their “love of God and service to others.”

Applicant must be a tithe-paying Seventh-day Adventist church member in good standing and have the legal right to work in the United States, providing evidence if employed. A minimum of a bachelor's degree with North American Division (Denominational) Teacher Certification in physical education is required and must be maintained (or must agree to work towards obtaining NAD Certification). A minimum of three years of successful teaching experience is preferred.
