Battle Creek Academy, a Seventh-day Adventist K–12 school in the Michigan Conference—and widely recognized as the first Seventh-day Adventist school established in the history of the church—is seeking a mission-driven and relational part-time Music Teacher for the upcoming school year. With a rich heritage rooted in Adventist education, BCA is entering a new season of renewal as we welcome new leadership under Principal Samantha Mills and continue building a strong academic and spiritual program.

We are looking for a teacher who is passionate about music ministry in a school setting and open to supporting additional instructional needs at the secondary level.

Position Overview:

• Part-time Music instruction across multiple grade levels (K–12)
• Responsibilities may include choir, general music, and coordination of school programs (concerts, chapel music, special events)
• Opportunity to expand teaching responsibilities with additional high school courses, depending on certification and experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Music Education or related field (required)
• Current teaching certification or eligibility for certification within the NAD system
• Additional secondary (high school) endorsements strongly preferred (English, Bible, History, Science, etc.)
• Experience in multi-grade or small school settings is a plus
• Commitment to Seventh-day Adventist education and philosophy

• Strong relational and communication skills
• Flexible and team-oriented, with a willingness to contribute where needed
• A heart for mentoring students in both music and faith
