Position Summary:

Hollister Seventh-day Adventist School is seeking a dedicated and mission-driven K–2 Teacher who is passionate about nurturing the academic, spiritual, and social development of young learners. The ideal candidate will create a Christ-centered classroom environment that supports foundational learning while fostering a love for Jesus, service, and lifelong learning.

Key Responsibilities:

Instruction & Curriculum

• Plan and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons aligned with conference and North American Division standards
• Provide instruction in core subjects including reading, writing, math, science, and social studies
• Utilize a variety of instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs

• Integrate faith and learning in all subject areas

   

Spiritual Leadership

• Lead daily worship and incorporate Biblical principles into classroom instruction
• Model Christ-like behavior and foster students’ spiritual growth
• Encourage participation in church activities

Classroom Environment

• Establish and maintain a positive, safe, and structured classroom environment
• Promote social-emotional development and positive behavior
• Create a nurturing atmosphere that supports each child’s growth and confidence

Assessment & Communication

• Monitor student progress through ongoing assessment and provide timely feedback
• Maintain accurate records of student achievement
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress and classroom activities

Collaboration & Professional Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with school staff, administration, and church community
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school events
• Support school programs, recruitment efforts, and community engagement

The applicant could also be the teaching principal if there is a good fit

Preferred:

• Experience teaching in a multi-grade or elementary classroom setting (preferred)
• Familiarity with Adventist curriculum and philosophy of education
• Demonstrated ability to integrate faith and learning effectively
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

The wage range is $67,179- $83,834
