The Associate Superintendent for Data, Accountability & Systems serves as the district’s chief strategic intelligence officer, responsible for transforming data into actionable insight that drives instructional improvement, organizational effectiveness, and strategic decision-making across all schools.
This role leads the design and implementation of systems that ensure clarity, coherence, and accountability in achieving the district’s educational mission.
As a member of the Office of Education's leadership team, the Associate Superintendent will work closely with school leaders, teachers, and other conference stakeholders to promote a culture of learning, collaboration, and instructional excellence. The ideal candidate will be an experienced educator with a strong background in data analysis, school data platforms, building systems to improve school operations, and a passion for fostering a growth mindset throughout the district.
Core Responsibilities
- Analyze academic, operational, and organizational data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities
- Produce clear, decision-ready insights for office leadership and principals
- Lead root-cause analyses for underperformance at school and system levels
- Develop predictive indicators to guide early intervention
- Design and manage district-wide accountability frameworks aligned to strategic goals
- Ensure clarity on “what success looks like” at every level
- Oversee all data platforms (SIS, LMS, assessment systems, dashboards)
- Ensure data accuracy, integration, and usability across systems
- Establish data governance protocols and best practices
- Equip principals and associates with actionable data tools and frameworks
- Train leaders on how to interpret and use data effectively
- Facilitate data-driven planning cycles at school and district levels, especially through the PLC framework
- Lead conference-wide High Reliability Schools Initiative including developing timelines
- Partner with the Associate Superintendent for Professional Development & Coaching to:
- Identify instructional priorities based on data
- Measure effectiveness of PD and coaching initiatives
- Directly supervise and support assigned schools
- Ensure principals effectively use data to drive:
- Instructional decisions
- Resource allocation
- Student support strategies
- Provide regular reports to the Vice President for Education, Board of Education, and school leaders on data and accountability outcomes, areas for improvement, and overall program effectiveness.
